It is rare that you’ll ever hear Joe call anything from Microsoft brilliant, but this brilliant video from Microsoft is funny and true! It imagines a breakup between An advertiser, portrayed as a rich, smug, know-it-all guy and a consumer represented by an attractive and honest women who feels she is no longer heard or understood. It really gets to the core of the issue that businesses don’t want to use new technology to have a dialog with their customers, they just want to market to them and lower sales costs.

Unbelievable: Dell Sales Center Call Recording

We can’t be sure that this audio recording is real (obviously the video is not), but the audio sure sounds real. “Robert”, allegedly a Panamanian Dell call center representative berates a customer for calling and than not buying a computer when he realizes speakers are not included. Robert repeatedly calling him a little girl and at one point “a pussy”. We are guessing that is because Robert has to maintain a certain close rate on his in bound calls, but this can’t be how Dell wants to treat is customers.
